Randy Orton will indeed defend his WWE world heavyweight championship inside the Elimination Chamber in the main event of the pay-per-view (PPV) of the same name on Sun., Feb. 23, 2014, at the Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota, as announced on tonight's episode of Monday Night Raw in Cleveland.
His opponents?
Sheamus, John Cena, and Daniel Bryan ... so far.
Here's how they got there:
Bryan made it clear right off the bat that he wanted another crack at the crown, then Triple H had him jumped by The Shield before John Cena and Sheamus made the save. Cue the Teddy Long Special and a six-man tag match was booked for the main event with the winners earning entry into the Chamber.
The Wyatt Family interfered late in the match to attack Cena, causing a disqualification, and putting the babyface trio in the title match at the PPV.
Yes, they're in by way of DQ.
There are still two spots available for the match, however, with Batista and Brock Lesnar both looming large as threats to Orton's title. Could they be rounding out the contest?
Stay tuned!
